Créneau Carrefour Jeunesse

Créneau Carrefour Jeunesse is a new program from the Secrétariat à la jeunesse put in place by the Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi (CJE), aimed at promoting academic perseverance, personal and social autonomy, as well as youth participation in entrepreneurship, volunteer, and humanitarian work.

While adapting to local needs and realities, the Créneau Carrefour jeunesse allows the implementation of services and a variety of projects for young people aged 15 to 29 years old.

Young Volunteers

You have a dream project or an original idea
to encourage youths to become involved?

Young Volunteers is a program offering young adults the opportunity to acquire skills while working on a project of their own design, in groups or individually.

Thanks to Young Volunteers, you can build a project in an area that interests you: communications, tourism, environment, community services, agriculture, or any other field.

  • Aged 16 to 29.
  • Not working or studying full-time.
  • Studying part-time.

Other Criteria
  • The project may be presented by a single person or a group of up to seven (7) young people.
  • You will need a mentor: someone who will commit to helping you voluntarily in your project. It could be someone from a non-profit organization, a private company, or a person connected to the selected field.
  • Your project can last from 9 to 52 weeks.
  • You will have to devote at least 20 hours per week to your project.

Financial Aid

If your project is accepted by the advisory committee, Emploi-Québec will determine and grant you employment assistance and an operating budget to cover the project’s expenses.

Launched in September of 2003, the minibus de l’emploi project aims at supplying transportation to clients of the CIJAD Carrefour jeunesse-emploi so that they can visit industrial areas and neighboring municipalities

It encourages job searchers to actively take part in the job market. During the visits, participants are always accompanied by a counselor from the organization, who can answer their questions while motivating them.

This project is realized through a partnership with the Centre d’action bénévole.
